A worthy successor to I AM THAT Ramesh's most accessible and easy to understand book. An excellent place to start or end your search. It is highly recommended both for the newcomer to Advaita and the more knowledgeable student of the subject.
Consciousness Speaks Conversations with Ramesh S Balsekar eBook Ramesh S Balsekar Wayne Liquorman
THIS IS A FABULOUS BOOK! I decided to buy it after someone recommended it in some other review.Ramesh writes very simply and clearly in a way that has illuminated deep teachings for me by Ramana Maharshi and Nisargidatta that I have not seen anywhere else despite much searching and personal meditation.
I finally get what they are saying in clearer ways bc of his writings.
His explanation of the ego as NOT the part of you that CAN become enlightened (so you can stop trying to enlighten that part and save yourself years!) is profound. I have not found such clear teachings even in the original sources (Maharshi and Nisargidatta).
GET THIS BOOK! will save you some years of struggling around in other texts for answers and for non answers.....!

Consciousness Speaks Conversations with Ramesh S Balsekar eBook Ramesh S Balsekar Wayne Liquorman Reviews
I am not in control of my life? Nonsense! I can control my life! Now that I think about it... maybe I don't have as much control as I think I have ... may that's not such a bad thing after all, kind of liberating, but hard to swallow!!!
This book is probably the best overview to Balsekar's teaching; so if you're unfamiliar with his work then this is definitely a good place to start. It touches on practically every topic that could be expected--the ego, consciousness, surrender, karma, grace, the guru, reincarnation, as well as a description of his own enlightenment, and much more.
Within these dialogues you will find the same concepts reappearing throughout; for instance, that there is no personal 'self'--no 'doer' behind actions, or 'thinker' behind thoughts. Balsekar frequently emphasizes that, "All there is, is Consciousness" which is an 'impersonal' functioning of Totality. He therefore recommends for one to understand that 'you are not the 'doer', but to act as if you are.'
The same themes that are found in other teachings of non-duality will probably be found here as well. His points are very clear and easy to follow, with many wonderful examples to back them up. And since the format is in Q & A dialogue, this is one of those books that you can open up to any page and begin reading.
A real pleasure to read.
Amazing and profoundly clear dialogues about Advaita.
Great great book
Fantastic!
This book exposes the myths of enlightenment and at the same time weakens and destroys the seeker ego. It leaves the reader with no more questions about truth and is quite likely the last spiritual work the sincerest aspirant will need. Highly recommended! I am only half way through but he is a Great Man that shares Great Knowledge.
